Presentation on Point-to-Point Suborbital Transport

On March 2, 2020, Jeffery Greenblatt, CEO of Emerging Futures LLC and Chief Scientist at Spacexchange LLC, gave a presentation at the Next-generation Suborbital Researchers Conference in Broomfield, Colorado titled “Point-to-Point (P2P) Transportation Market Forecasts and Implications for the LEO Economy." LEO stands for Low-Earth Orbit, which is distinguished from a "suborbital" flight that crosses the threshold of space (100 km) and experiences weightlessness for a period of several minutes, but ultimately falls back to Earth. P2P was discussed as an important future suborbital application that could provide extremely rapid long-distance transport between two points on Earth. In addition to growing a new market worth up to $52 billion in 2030 and $484 billion in 2040, it could also help lower the cost of LEO access and thereby grow the orbital space commercial industry.
