Emerging Futures presented an analysis of a large-scale Earth-Mars human transport system at the 67th International Astronautical Congress in Guadalajara, Mexico on September 30, 2016. Analysis focuses on direct round-trip missions between Earth and Mars, and explored sensitivities to several key assumptions. It came on the heels of Elon Musk's unveiling of his Interplanetary Transport System design two days earlier at the conference.
